About Course

The person awarded with this unit standard is able to prepare their workstation and client for a Dermaplane treatment; they are able to record relevant information and perform an assessment of the client’s skin. Learners are able to use a scalpel in the correct and safest manner during the treatment resulting in improving the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines of the client’s skin.

The qualifying learner is able to:

  • Know relevant anatomy and physiology as well as business studies from unit 17
  • Assessing the client and preparing treatment plans
  • Pharmacology affecting the skin structure and function
  • Prepare the workstation and client for the dermaplaning treatment, provide the treatment and aftercare.
